In continuation, Giorgos Anousakis presented the lecture “Paths and caves on Paros Island”,offering an interesting perspective and relation between these two elements and the dry stone structures of the island. Finally, Semeli Drymoniti presented the main projects realised by the Mitato of Amorgos, the two Dry Stone Workshops “The Amorgian Craftsmanship” and “The History of Water”, thus connecting the Workshop on Paros with a more general framework of similar projects in the Cyclades. The lectures were followed by short talks by the local craftsmen. Participation was impressive, with people of all ages taking part in the works. Older and younger craftsmen were also present, happily sharing their knowledge. The Walking Association of Paros later arrived at the spot too and the 1st Dry Stone Workshop on Paros closed with tasty treats and a feast with live traditional island music.

We share our best wishes with the organisers for the continuation of their project and we will be happy to collaborate in the next steps!

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”3.21.4″ background_color=”rgba(224,242,133,0.16)” custom_margin=”|17px||17px” custom_padding=”|17px||17px”]

Read here the complete article on the Workshop Sustainable Cyclades (in Greek).

Watch here the video of the presentations in the Cultural Centre of Angeria on Saturday 10 February 2024, as recorded by the Network for Sustainable Cyclades

Watch here the video of the project on site on Sunday 11 February 2024 by Panos Kekas.

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row custom_padding=”0px||0|1px|false|false” padding_top_1=”0px” _builder_version=”3.21.4″ background_color=”rgba(79,79,79,0.2)”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″ _builder_version=”3.21.4″][et_pb_gallery gallery_ids=”1305,1312,1306,1309,1315,1313,1314,1307,1308,1310,1311″ gallery_orderby=”rand” posts_number=”16″ show_title_and_caption=”off” zoom_icon_color=”#443a00″ hover_overlay_color=”rgba(255,255,255,0.43)” hover_icon=”%%204%%” _builder_version=”3.21.4″ caption_font=”||||||||” border_radii=”on|6px|6px|6px|6px” custom_margin=”|-3px||-3px||true” custom_padding=”38px|19px||19px|false|true” filter_saturate=”107%”][/et_pb_gallery][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section][et_pb_section fb_built=”1″ _builder_version=”3.21.4″ custom_padding=”45px|0px|0|0px|false|false” locked=”off”][et_pb_row custom_padding=”0|0px|0|0px|false|false” _builder_version=”3.21.4″][et_pb_column type=”4_4″ _builder_version=”3.21.4″][et_pb_divider divider_weight=”13px” height=”0px” _builder_version=”3.21.4″ custom_margin=”||”][/et_pb_divider][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section][et_pb_section fb_built=”1″ specialty=”on” _builder_version=”3.21.4″ custom_padding=”36px|0px|54px|0px|false|false” locked=”off”][et_pb_column type=”1_4″ _builder_version=”3.0.47″][et_pb_blurb use_icon=”on” font_icon=”%%86%%” _builder_version=”3.21.4″ animation=”left”][/et_pb_blurb][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”3_4″ specialty_columns=”3″ _builder_version=”3.0.47″][et_pb_row_inner _builder_version=”3.21.4″][et_pb_column_inner type=”4_4″ saved_specialty_column_type=”3_4″ _builder_version=”3.0.47″][et_pb_blog include_categories=”all” show_thumbnail=”off” show_more=”on” show_author=”off” admin_label=”Blog” _builder_version=”3.21.4″][/et_pb_blog][/et_pb_column_inner][/et_pb_row_inner][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_section]

On 10 and 11 February, we had the chance to experience a beautiful weekend in the heart of the Cycladic winter, on the occasion of the 1st Dry Stone Workshop on the island of Paros.
