We are pleased to announce the 3rd<\/sup> Dry Stone Workshop \u201cThe Amorgian Craftsmanship\u201d, which will be held in Aegiali, Amorgos Island, from 21 to 25 October 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n Following the cancellation of our Workshop in 2023, we are very happy to organise our project anew, incorporating a broader framework of events.<\/p>\n Similarly to the previous years, the goal of the Workshop is to raise awareness regarding the traditional land and water management methods, as well as to continue the educational process<\/strong> initiated in the previous workshops, with the active participation of three local stone masons, apprentices, students of the island and visitors.<\/p>\n This year, the event includes a deeper engagement with the issue of dry stone training and certification<\/strong>, calling a round table of stone masons, educational bodies and other experts. The aim is to discuss the current situation and the prospects for the future, based on the example of areas in continental Greece and other countries, with the presence of speakers from these regions.<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”3.21.4″ text_line_height=”1.6em” background_color=”rgba(158,139,1,0.11)” text_orientation=”justified” custom_margin=”0px|0px|0px|0px|true|true” custom_padding=”20px|25px|10px|25px|false|true” z_index_tablet=”500″]<\/p>\n The dry stone wall restoration works in the area of Kalopotama, in properties along the path of \u201cPalia Strata\u201d outside the village of Potamos.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n The dry stone apprenticeship, which will take place from 21 to 25 October 2024, restoring the dry stone structures in Kalopotama. The works will be led by three local stonemasons and will be realised with the contribution of apprentices.
