Furthermore, as part of their specialisation, the studied the flora and fauna of the area, particularly that of the micro-ecosystems created in dry stone structures.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>The programme included a tour of Amorgos, offering time to familiarise with each other but also with the island and its inhabitants.<\/strong> We visited the old olive press of Langada, the Monastery of Panagia Chozoviotissa and the capital of Amorgos, Chora, coinciding with the celebrations of the Greek National Day on 25<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0March. In addition, we enjoyed a hike in the area of Langada, so that the students could see a wider range of dry stone structures and other elements, such as cisterns, wells, stables, threshing circles and churches.
