The Mitato of Amorgos has localized and recorded the old path connecting the area of Agios Ioannis Theologos with the area of Vothonas, in order to complete the connection of the route with that of Agia Zoni. This way, the circular route 5 of the hiking route network of Amorgos, as it has been extended within the latest update, has been completed.
On 2 July 2020, in the framework of events organized by the Region of South Aegean and the Municipality of Amorgos, and accompanied by members of the Mitato of Amorgos, volunteers from EPOS Filis realized an extent cleaning work on most of the length of the route, which is now accessible.

In the context of Erasmus+ programme, we welcomed in Amorgos the students of the Department of Management and Protection of Nature of the Lycée Agricole de Matiti. Together we worked with us in the restoration of dry stone walls in the outskirts of Langada, learning the craft from our craftsman Antonis Vlavianos. Furthermore, as part of their specialisation, the studied the flora and fauna of the area, particularly that of the micro-ecosystems created in dry stone structures.
